Vintage Mirror Glass

Vintage Mirror Glass

Our vintage mirror glasses are handmade using a traditional 19th century Victorian technique in our glass silvering workshop just outside the city of Bath in Somerset.
It is not made from distressing new mirror glass, but by laying down a layer of pure silver onto the back of pre-cut clear glass, as such, all our mirrors appear overall warmer, less uniform in their distressing, and therefore more authentic looking.

We cut your glass to size before we silver it, rather than cutting it from large sheets of imported pre-mirrored glass, so each piece is lovingly aged around all of the edges, as it would be if it was truly antique.
Although we strive to make the finished product as close to the images shown, since it is a hand made product, we do not guarantee that the finish will match any chosen example.
We normally do not send out samples of our mirror glass finishes, since we find that a small piece of the glass will not accurately give the impression of what the finished installation will look like. Rather, we ask clients to choose from one of the illustrated examples of past installations and we will strive to match it as best we can.

All of the images shown are made with 4mm thick glass however other glass options are available with either bevelled or polished edges, also toughened mirror glass can be supplied to order.
All 4 mm glass is priced at £396.00 inc vat per sq metre. Trade and quantity discounts available.

If the glass tiles are to be fixed directly onto a wall, the installation could not be easier using the special mirror adhesive that we can supply with your order together with simple instructions for use.

We have a number of pre cut silvered tiles which we can offer at half the normal price. See details under ‘Special Offers’.
