Mirrors made to measure for The Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Looking Glass of Bath is one of the UK’s leading and award-winning suppliers of made to measure mirrors, cut to size mirrors, bespoke mirrors (in a Contemporary, Traditional and Vintage style) and made to measure frames. We’re proud to say that recently we worked with The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford upon Avon.
What is The Royal Shakespeare Theatre?
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is a 1,000+ seat theatre owned by the Royal Shakespeare Company that is dedicated to the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare.
The theatre opened in 1932 on the site next to the first Shakespeare Memorial Theatre (which opened on the 19th of April 1879), which was burned down on the 6th of March 1926, whose name it took.
The theatre has a newly built Rooftop Restaurant and Bar that has a gorgeous view over the River Avon. There is also a riverside walk which stretches from the Bancroft Gardens, past the theatre, towards Holy Trinity Church.
How did Looking Glass of Bath get involved?
Looking Glass of Bath has made thousands of mirrors in their years of experience. But, no mirrors compare to the size of the mirrors designed and made to size for The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford upon Avon.
This was an impressive project and fantastic outcome for The Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
The mirrors designed and created (bespoke) were 4 meters wide and 2 meters high. By far, this is the largest mirrors that Looking Glass of Bath have made.
That being said, we’re always open to new and exciting projects, no matter the size or requirement. It was a pleasure to work with The Royal Shakespeare Theatre on this project, and we hope for some of the public reading this article to see our impressive bespoke mirrors in the Theatre one day.
